Rediscovering Iranian Art at Dubai’s Art Fair: A Journey with Shirin Gallery
In 2016, as international sanctions on Iran were lifted, I had the unique opportunity to represent Shirin Gallery, a renowned Iranian art gallery, at Dubai’s Art Fair. This pivotal moment not only signaled a cultural reawakening for Iranian artists but also opened doors to a global audience eager to engage with their work. For me, the fair became more than an exhibition; it was a celebration of resilience, innovation, and the unbreakable spirit of Iranian artists.
The Atmosphere and Highlights of the Fair
The Dubai Art Fair was alive with an eclectic mix of artworks, from the contemporary and thought-provoking to the traditional and delicate. The anticipation in the air was palpable; it wasn’t just another art event but a gathering that brought together people from every corner of the world to witness something rare and historic.
